After what seems like an eternity, the weather for once held off, and all games in the League and Cups were played on Sunday. Indeed, bizarrely as it seems, some pitches were rock solid. Such is the English weather.

Great Wakering moved to the top of the table. Two goals from Deakin saw off a battling Brit Academicals. Old Southendian kept themselves in the title picture winning 3-2 at Chapel United. Tag United are also on the fringes after beating Pegasus 2-0.

 Fords and Catholic progressed in the Div 1 League Cup. Fords needed extra time before seeing off Southend Collegians 1-0, whilst Catholic beat Wakering II 4-1. In the only league game Stambridge and Hullbridge played out a 0-0 draw.

 Earls Hall maintain top spot in Div 2, after beating second placed Corringham 2-1. Their position was further strengthened as Eversley Park went down 2-1 to Wheatleys. William de Ferrers beat Milton 2-0. Bottom two, Basildon and Foulness shared the points in a 1-1 draw.

 Rayleigh Olympiads closed to gap on Div 3 leaders Sutton to six points after beating Nicholas Colts 3-0. Simco kept their promotion hopes alive winning 3-2 at Zeus. Inn on the Green beat Chalkwell II 2-0.

 Catholic II move into the Div 4 Cup Final, they beat Brit III 2-0. Corinthians stretched their lead at the top seeing off Chalkwell III 6-1. Laindon beat Fairfax 1-0. At the bottom Lions blew a 3-0 lead against Wakering III, eventually going down 8-4. Burns got a hat trick. (that costs you beer).
