This was the first of our five league cup finals scheduled to take place at Eastwoodbury Lane. It turned out to be a very entertaining game with not too much to choose between the two sides.

Broker took the lead through a tremendous strike from P. Blackshaw. The lead was short lived when D.Wardell leveled the scores on 33 mins. HT 1-1

The second half saw the game open up a bit more with players finding more space to play. The Broker defenders were well organised as the Sutton strikers began to put on some pressure. The breakthrough came in the 52nd minute when some clever build up play saw R. Parker slam home to give Sutton the lead and to eventually prove to be the match winning goal.
Both sides played the game in the right way and the spirit was there for all to see.
