It was agreed unanimously at the AGM in June that our Charity Cup Competition will be linked to the LITTLE HAVENS CHILDREN'S HOSPICE.
We make a charitable donation on a bi - annual basis and already we have had a significant amount of interest from various people within the league who may hold a fund raising activity on behalf of Little Havens.
As you will know we are holding a Golf Day in October at Rochford Golf Club and proceeds will be going into our Charity Fund.
I must thank all of you who took part in the raffle at the Presentation Dinner in June. The proceeds of this are in the Charity account. All monies we can raise will go into this account and when it comes to making the donation in two sears time we should have a substantial figure to give to Little Havens.
I attended a meeting with Garry Nelson at Little Havens where he gave an outline of the Golf Day, as he is running this on our behalf. The people there are delighted that we have linked into their cause.
Everyone of you should feel very proud of being a part of this at it truly is a wonderful organisation.
Club secretaries will notice there is an option to make a donation to the charity fund on the pre season invoice.
