Eric said of the Award " I am very pleased to be honoured by this League, I spent some happy times when in Office and it is amazing to think that it is now in its 22nd year. After the initial 6 teams that got it all started I am pleased to see it has grown to an incredible 50 teams of Vets".
Eric who recently turned 83, is still a very active member of the Southend Borough Combination League where he is Vice Chairman and Treasurer.
